American dog parents

For this project we were asked to make an entertaining pamphlet based on an informational article. I chose an article about how pet owners have started treating their dogs like children.

I used magazines for the collages so that they would have the authentic magazine texture. I thought that it would be fun to experiment with creating collages that weren’t entirely realistic. The differences in sizes, content, and shapes made this process entertaining. To create the collages, I hand cut all of the images out by hand, rearranged them, and scanned them in. After cleaning everything up in photoshop I added them to the pamphlet with the information. This project strengthened my skills in photoshop and indesign. I had so much fun being able to work with my hands to create compelling graphic design.
