This package design project required three different canvases, one of which needed to be a box, for any packaged good. BHAPPI is a mint containing vitamins B6 and B12 in order to boost dopamine and serotonin production in the brain while providing on the go breath freshness. This leads to an improved mood, productivity, and reduced stress. The other vitamints I had researched on the market displayed words such as “Stress Relief”, or “Neuro Mint” boldly on the packaging. Most people do not want others to see them taking a mint that loudly displays that it is to aid their mental health. I also exchanged “Neuro Mint” for “Vitamint” because I felt that it had a more positive connotation. Moreover, I decided to design packaging that had an interesting design that would catch someone's eye without exposing the user’s desire for a boosted mood. 

The BHAPPI logo is bold and eye-catching. The contrast between the weights, slants, and colors make the logo the first thing you would notice on the shelf. The lockup includes “B6 B12 BHAPPI” as the slogan for the brand. Including the slogan emphasizes the mission behind the brand and how it achieves its purpose.

One of the key factors in ensuring consistency is including the full lockup across all of the packaging formats. The logo is always on a white background with a yellow B in order to remain the same even when other parts of the packaging have a yellow fill. Also, the smiley faces were implemented as another way to establish the brand identity without becoming too monotonous. The smiley faces differ in size and weight, similar to the lockup. This smiley face allows the packaging to be easily identified as the same product even if they are displayed in different locations. Also, the same type hierarchy is used throughout all of the packaging. 

BHAPPI is intended to be used by anyone 18 and older. I wanted to ensure that nobody was embarrassed to take BHAPPI out of their bag in public. Whether it is a business executive or a college student, nobody should have to publicise their mental health to bystanders. BHAPPI is bold and modern to be appreciated for the design before being investigated for its purpose. 

Overall, BHAPPI Vitamints achieve the intended goal by providing striking package design that allows the users to maintain privacy of their mental health needs.
